CREW GOLD

Crew Gold Corporation was an international gold mining company that was focused on maximizing the performance of its LEFA / Lero gold mine in Guinea.

The company was listed on the Toronto stock exchange. As of July 27, 2010, Crew Gold Corporation operates as a subsidiary of Nord Gold N.V which is a subsidiary of OAO Severstal

Major shareholder Endeavour Mining sold their shares in Crew Gold to OAO Severstal who ultimately owned 100% of Crew Gold shares. The acquisition occurred under a statutory plan of arrangement which took effect as of 7 January 2011.

During the time of the takeover the Supreme Court of Yukon became involved  and ruled in favor of minority shareholders for their dissent rights of shares.

In the meantime disputes have arisen with other shareholders.
