LEFA GOLD MINE

LEFA is owned by Nordgold, previously part of Severstal, it was separated in order to focus on its gold assets in Burkina Faso, Guinea, Kazakhstan and Russia - click for map.

The Lefa mine is one of the largest gold mines in Guinea and in the world. The mine is located in the center of the country in Faranah Region. The mine has estimated reserves of 7.78 million oz of gold and is operated by Nordgold.
